He's dead against an apple tree, but maybe if I just suggest growing cherries he'll not recall they grown on trees...
(And right now, sketching out a new layout for the back garden taking into account we need space to pitch our tent to let it dry if we have to pack it wet. Which had slipped both of our minds)
