At present karma has become so devalued that, for the most part, it is meaningless as any sort of indication of how people feel about you or your postings. When I first started posting here I would give arguments and postings by people with more karma more weight than those by people with less karma. Now that I've been here a while I no longer do that. However, that is not to say that karma has no value, if there person giving it is doing so because they appreciate something someone said or found something funny then they are assigning their own value to it. It is the same for the recipient, if they think that there is value in the K they received then there is.

Sort of the same thing goes for posting as well.

With all being said though I see no reason to change the format of this thread.

If we tell people they need to post their own I'm sure we'll see a lot less of them posted.
If we set specific values on milestones then we'll miss it when person X makes their 150th post, or 200th, or 400th or whatever value is not a milestone. I say keep things as they are, but people have to understand that not every milestone can or will get a personal congrats from everyone.
