Took a bit of a grammatical beating on this one at WPF so made a couple of minor changes:
Being There
Death is all about us.
It is so easy
to step on an ant
and leave her
frail and broken
lying in bed
with the Alzheimer’s & delirium in full rage
Just as Grandmama
and I was not
there;
left to the sister
& the ants to manage.
