There are corrections not possible with laser, otherwise I would have had it done. Even with the 2% possibilities of it going bad.
I've worn contacts for soccer after a powershot to my face where the pair of glasses I was wearing was bent to the shape of my face. Painful. Contacts are also nice in rainy outdoor events... And you don't need special shades with them on.
