My understanding is that, although the VizPlex screen is, like the iLiad,
capable of 4 bit (ie 16 grey-scale) display, Bookeen (and, by the looks of it, Sony too) are using a
controller which is only driving the screen in 2 bit (4 grey-scale) display mode.
