When I attended Bowling Green State Univ. (the one in Ohio), there was a brand new 8 story library - the 4 corners of each floor were huge picture windows with desks. I used to go to the top floor during thunderstorms and watch them roll in! Quite an impressive sight - esp. at night! These were major storms rolling in off Lake Erie.

The only down side was the usual power glitches/outages that accompanied the bad storms - knocking out the elevators. You learned not to use them during a storm unless you weren't planning on going anywhere for the next few hours - and weren't claustrophobic!
