1) Pocketbook has that 1913 dictionary that GeoffC mentioned. Go to their downloads link at this site -
http://www.pocketbookreader.com/Downloads.html - and select to download "Sample Dictionaries." It'll be a .zip file and once you un-zip it, you'll see the 1913 one. I "threw away" the others as I can't read those languages...
2) Also, there is a Russian site that offers some dictionary downloads. Here is a link to it (via Google Translate) -

Somewhere on that page, is the "Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary," which I have downloaded and it appears to be English. Use the mirror site to access the download, as you'll get a 403 error if you try the main download link.
As I've said, I've got both dictionaries, and they seem to work fine.
They are the best English-English dictionaries we've got, at least until Pocketbook finishes working on the Abby Lingvo stuff (which is supposed to be available for separate purchase in June).
