I'm also happy to see that they are continuing support for the Reader. And that means our mobileread books section can keep growing .lrf files. Yay! I was worried that with all the different ebook readers coming out, people would start wandering away from .lrf and move to just mobipocket format.
There is no mobipocket creator for Mac so I will stick with my reader and the good ole .lrf format that I am finally getting the hang of creating. But .html support would have been pretty nice--maybe next time.
I don't have a big craving for mobipocket stuff because of the DRM issues, but I do realize that it would make Sony much more competitive out there in the "real world" if people have more choices than just the Sony Store.
I like the look of the new reader, but I don't see anything that would make me upgrade from my current one.
