I was thinking of possibly writing some adventures myself. I always wondered just how popular they would be these days but this thread has shown they were and still are loved by many.

I taught myself programming over the last year and was looking at possible things to write. Unfortunately I can't write the stories, but my brother isn't too bad, if a little unreliable at actually finishing something (he has lots of half written books, music and poems).

I may have a go at an adventure if he is up for the challenge of actually finishing one of his stories
You might want to look at inform it's designed for writing interactive fiction and chucks out z-code so you can play the results on almost anything including ipad.

The interactive fiction scene is still quite healthy, it's just not commercial. There is a yearly competition so you could always enter something.
