and one thing i wouldn't advise is the keyboard+docking stand. if you really need a dock, then get the apple dock and the BT keyboard so you have some freedom. a few bucks more, but it is worth it.
also, the BT keyboard is in no way specific to the ipad, you can use it with any computer with bluetooth. just pair and go. you'll also be able to use it with iOS 4.0, i know it can be used on the iphone 4, i'm guessing it will work on the previous models as well. no reason it shouldn't.
