Another plus one for the Apple's bluetooth keyboard combined with the iPad. If you are a touch typist with large amounts of text to write - it is the only way to go. They work really well together and you get to use the iPad in portrait or landscape mode with it.
You can touch type on the screen keyboard but I found I had a lot more typos and was more tiring (gradually getting better though).
