Try (demo it at a store) the 600. I can't stress enough how good it is! It's pleasant to read on, and has the same size screen as the nook. Glare is extremely minor! I, personally, found the nook's little LCD more distracting than the glare I occasionally experience with my 600. The 900 suffers the same glare problems, though. It's simply got a bigger screen.
Go with the 600. It's much cheaper, and it's an amazing device... Try it and see
