It doesn't really compile - rather it just copies revised text files with the source. I was timing my update today - 36 seconds. That's a lot faster than a binary Windows install, but not when it fails

I can just rename that first src folder and the next launch reverts to the binary install, so I'm not down, just back to 7.2. It's possible the missing calibre.gui2.book_details will appear soon. It may just not have made it to the repository yet.
