Good luck. You seem to have gotten 7 and xp to see something of each other. Try renaming the network in XP to (workgroups) I think it is in 7. In my XP PC it was called "MS home". For some reason changing the name allowed the XP computer to see the vista laptop and vice versa.
XP PC still cannot see 7 PC. I think they just hate each other. When 7 PC uses the internet it does not share with XP PC and hogs all the bandwidth. I think it tells the router that XP PC does not exist so therefore does not need any bandwidth. vista laptop seems to be able to share with both.

Next step upgrade XP PC to 7. me no likey upgrades.
