I can sympathise with that - although it's current co-workers for me. Most of the 200 odd people in head office know me by name and by sight (one of the joys of working in IT support ). Unfortunately, I don't always remember who they are, especially outside the office. I've had some fairly long conversations with people in the supermarket before now. When they're done, the yeti will ask me who I was talking to, to which I can only shrug and say "someone from work, I think"

Only slightly related, my mum was once on the phone for about 15 minutes with someone before either of them worked out it was a wrong number. They both had elderly relatives called things like Ethel and Doris, which weren't uncommon names in my nanna's generation!
