i was taken so completely by surprise that i didn't even think of any good excuse. i gave her my card.
plus, some of the details only just came back to me later... i really couldn't remember right away why i hadn't seen her in 15 years. i had a strange, uncomfortable feeling, but i didn't know why. i should have trusted my instinct.
