Why would you want AAA batteries Chris?
Unless you plan to be away from A/C for months at a time, I can't see what the advantages is, and AAA batteries would be an expensive pain in the neck and bulky as well.
But I sure do agree with your thoughts on PDF being very important. Clearly it can do better even with the existing screen (PDFRasterfarian and PDFRead have proven that). It would be very interesting to know what the "perfect" screen of various sizes can do with PDFs.
