It's not a desire to waste oil but rather a desire
not to, perversely enough...
They could've capped that POS a month ago; they're not trying to stop the ecological damage, they're trying to stop the spill in a way that allows them to keep the oil.
I could wish for them to go bankrupt, but then there would be even less competition in that industry and we all know how that works...
