Hello,
I own a PRS-600 and an Acer Aspire 5020 with windows XP and I have calibre installed and works flawlessly.
I bought a new computer, a HP Envy 15 with i7 and 6mb of ram and Windows7 64b.
I installed calibre (7.1) processed some files (it works with all the processor threads! great!
)
But when I connect my PRS-600, it is not recognized...
I went back to the old computer and it worked fine. (It takes ages to synchronize several files to the e-reader, but it works)
I checked everything I found in the net,
but to no avail.
I debugged the connected devices and says none present.
Then I installed the sony drivers (just in case) and its software works in w7 and connects to my e-book, since I don't like how it works, I uninstalled it completely (with reboot) and tried calibre again, but it does not work.
Anybody has any idea? can I do something to make it detected?
Please, I want to give away my old machine, but I must keep it for the ebook.
