Ok, since I've been asked, here's an old chestnut in a slightly different form.

Here are the numbers 1 to 6 in a sequence:
5, 4, 1, 6, 3, 2

Here are the numbers 7 to 12 in a sequence:
8, 11, 9, 7, 10, 12

Now, using the same rule as the two sequences above, give me the sequence for 4 to 9.
