[Old Thread] New to Calibre--problems converting files
Hi! I have just started using Calibre, and am already having problems--hopefully someone can show me where I am doing things wrong.
I have the newest version of Calibre, and use my iPhone as a book reader. Most of what I have stored is fanfiction I have downloaded from the internet. When I just used Stanza, they wouldn't read properly in RTF, so I would have to convert them to text. I have downloaded all these txt files to Calibre and converted them to EPUB. But now that I have reloaded them on Stanza on my phone, the punctuation doesn't come thru right. Periods and question marks are ok, but apostrophe's and quotation marks won't convert, and are replaced by a question mark inside a diamond shape.
Any ideas what could be wrong? I have about reached my limit of knowledge Thanks so much for your help!
