yeah, pretty much. and it would stick on your gums if you were dehydrated, which... being in the field was all about. so you got the initial blast of chewing it and kind of dry swallowing, and then for the next hour or so, all of the crystals that were hidden in odd crevices of your mouth, would surface and you would get another blast from the past
