Hummm, that sounds like a possibility on why it is always showing channel 1.
So, if you can use 128bit with ASCII key then at least we know the PB does 128bit.
Then I still think that trying the idea of the 0x (zero followed by lower case x) + the 26 char HEX key might work. It's worth a shot. When you think about it, since there is no place to signify hex vs ascii in the keyboard, then how would the PB know HEX key is being entered unless you let it know.
Guessing here. I'd like to know if that works.
