The Carpet Pythons are very pretty, and varied. Relocating is fairly easy. The local council employs snake-catchers who you can call if you want one moved. The National Park, for us, 100m up the road (we walk our dogs along the edge most mornngs). That was a big one, though we've had a smaller (1m) python on the bottom balcony and under the spa. It was fine (the problem with the big one is that s/he climbed down onto our top balcony, and likely would have had problems getting off. Most of our neighbours have had them around, but the pythons are pretty harmless. The Brown Snakes and Whip Snakes, which are also around, are more of a worry, but we've never had any that haven't casually moved on (just have to keep the dogs away from them. Maggie is curious about everything ).

Cheers,
Marc
