I think about this episode a lot when I'm in danger of being snowed under by details, dolts, or doldrums! I think I would have gotten off the train the first time it stopped there. So it's my mental "escape hatch". I just close my eyes and hear the conductor calling: "Willoughby! Next stop Willoughby!"

I think I'll use that as my mantra when stuck in the middle of a house full of relatives and there is no escape.
"Willoughby."
"Willoughby! Next stop Willoughby!"
I may get a few strange looks, but who cares? I'll have my eyes closed.
