Ich habe exakt dasselbe Verhalten (reboot wenn USB connetction). Ausserdem schaltet mein Computer USB komplett ab mit einer Message "overcurrent USB connection", wenn ich unter USB oprions "ask" einstelle. Ich beobachet nichts dergleichen mit anderen USB-Geräten, z.B. einem PRS 505. Das scheint also am PB Betriebssytem zu liegen.
