No way to attach some cord/rope/string/anything to the reader and then attaching it to the hammock?
My favourite place is bed. Which is why I want that backlit device. I can't see my bedlamp if I put the head-end of the bed up. After that, outside, in the shade of a tree in the hammock. Lovely tree, it doesn't give a very dense shade, but more a dappled shade. Perfect! After that, any place will do. In a chair outside, on the couch in the livingroom, at the breakfast table, outside, waiting for my ride to arrive, in the train/bus (not car, because I either have to drive, or check where we're going, in case my husband drives...)
