I am with WorldWalker here. One of the reasons we keep a few threads open, like the Speed Reading thread is that they are really good Spam magnets and we catch quite a few by just subscribing to them. A subforum on self-promo would act as a similar magnet, I feel.

Plus, I really like the idea of having a place to attract authors who want some publicity and may end up as productive members.
