Does this only happen when you open a book? Is it getting the metadata from the filename? If so, is it possible to force it to process all books on adding? Or is it coming from the decompressed epub files somewhere? If I export the ofp from Calibre, is it able to read the metadata from there?
It's coming from the decompressed epub file.
If Freda gets a book over the air (from an on-line catalog) it will get the metadata from the catalog. Otherwise (i.e. for a book on your device's local file system) it won't get the metadata until you open the book.
