Casting him would make more sense that casting
Donald Glover in the role.
Personally, I think a black Peter Parker makes as much sense as a remake of The Cosby Show starring Conan O'Brien as Dr. Huxtable. Maybe a black man who somehow became endowed with the same abilities as Peter Parker would work, but to take such a well known character as Parker who's been around over 40 years and suddenly say, "Oh, by the way, we forgot to mention that his ancestors were African," isn't going to fly. His face, social setting, and back story are too well engraved in the social consciousness.
The powers-that-be behind Smallville were able to successfully cast Sam Jones III in the role of young Clark's best friend Pete Ross because blond-haired, blue-eyed Ross was always a fairly minor character in the DC universe, and there was not that much history to overcome in terms of his character. I dare say that most people don't even remember Pete Ross from the comics; but Parker is too well-known.
