My concerns with the 600:
- It's more expensive (the 300 seems to have dropped to $134 with the student discount now).
- It's heavier, larger and a bit harder to use one-handed, I think. The 300 seems to actually be pocketable in a large jeans pocket or lab coat pocket.
I don't think I need any of the editing functionality; I think the memory on the 300 should be enough. I definitely don't need another MP3 player. I agree, though, that the contrast on the 600 can be adapted to.
