Sending happy thoughts!
I have a 70-something uncle who has had a variety of treatments including surgery and radiation for a brain tumor (unfortunately his is malignant) and except for the bald head you would not know that anything is different. He was recently interviewed by the hometown newspaper on his WWII memories and was perfectly lucid. (Yes, he's obviously too young to have served but he lived next to a POW area and befriended several prisioners as a young boy.) The brain is amazing in its capacity to regenerate.
