I like Facebook.
Not obsessed with it like many, but it's a great way to stay in touch with acquaintances you don't care enough about to call or e-mail regularly, easy way to share photos with friends and family, great for finding old friends you lost touch with etc.
I like a couple of the games as well, good way to waste 10-15 minutes a day when needing a short break at work etc.
But I'm also at a PC most of the time, so it just a really easy way to keep in touch for me.
