Also as Fictionwise has said, the ebooks may be with the publisher. When you buy an ebook from Fictionwise you may actually be accessing the publishers site in the background. In other words Fictionwise is not the one holding the content. The assumption in this case is it is the publishers decision and not the retailer. Of course this is not always the case. There are books that are purchased directly from the retailer.
