all you have to do is a full restore and the jailbreak will go away. not much harm in doing it really. my only advise, if you ever need to take the unit into the apple store for work, be sure to remove the jailbreak (restore your unit) first. apple does not take kindly to jailbreakers. it also technically invalidates your warranty/applecare. apple has also gone as far as saying it is against the DCMA and illegal, but has never actually pursued anyone who was jailbroken.
