People have recently been willing to pay a premium for the 505 because they want a 6" Sony reader without a touchscreen, either because of the readability issue, or just because they don't like touchscreens. We could actually have gotten a 600 cheaper when we bought our second 505, but I'm so happy with my 505 (and again, there's the touchscreen issue) that we wanted a second one.
