I'm a reader, a dog lover, a writer, and a Kindle fan-- in chronological order. Like most book lovers, I started to read as a kid and never stopped. I began writing as a teenager, and my first book was published in 2005. I got my Kindle as a birthday gift last year and love it almost as much as my dog!
My golden retriever, Sam, is 10 years old and inspired my mystery novel, IN DOG WE TRUST, which I published on the Kindle in March. It's the story of a guy who returns to his hometown in Bucks County, PA and what happens after his next-door neighbor is murdered. He adopts her golden, Rochester, and he and the dog set out to discover her killer.
Rochester doesn't talk, but he does have some unique, canine ways of helping move the investigation forward. As the punny title indicates, there's some humor in the story, too. Here's a link to the book at Amazon:

It's also available at Smashwords in all the different formats.
