You'd be surprised. Medicine for example, is full of ancient greek words, many of which even greeks don't instinctively understand, and which follow the rules of ancient greek grammar. It is not uncommon for doctors to get them wrong (I won't even mention students). You can be an expert in your field but not an expert in grammar.
