Exactly - it is the nature of product forums that they attract people who are not completely satisfied with their purchase. As a consequence this forum is the web's best source of troubleshooting information about the Kobo Reader.

I agree that the font sizing thing is just a bug.

I think it is true that the Kobo Reader that steers new users towards purchasing book from the Kobo/Borders store (this is obviously true of the desktop software), but I don't think that Kobo have attempted to sabotage non-Kobo ePubs!
