I live in Morpeth, North East England, North of Newcastle upon Tyne and what some would see as close to Scotland, our perspective is that Scotland is a good distance away, has a different accent etc; I should talk! I am Irish, living in N E England since 1974, but have a distinct Northern Irish (Belfast) accent, I am not a proper Geordie.
