I spent a number of years slaving away in a Toronto typography studio and I really admire type design. This experience -- a book presented as a typographic delicacy -- is entirely missing e-books as rendered by my Kindle and Kobo.

But, hey! I read Raymond Chandler for his dialogue, not the book designer's tasty Caslon ligatures.

I can be patient: better typography will emerge and, in the meantime, the word's the thing.
