Ctrl + is my friend right now, even though I can't see the mouse pointer! .

Thank you both. I have to have the shades closed and wear sunglasses in the house, but my eyes are open a little more today. I have the laptop adjusted to largest text and a pair of reading glasses over my sunglasses to see this. I so do NOT want a picture of what THAT looks like.

I did finally finish "The Mysterious Island" for the book club... I listened to the librivox version to finish it. I'll have to say that it was more interesting to listen than read (even though I did fall asleep during parts).

I'm glad nothing permanent happened to you. That is my greatest fear... being blind and not being able to read.

Thank you all, It's getting better. It just hurts to try to see out of it for very long and any light (even from this laptop) gives me a headache. I'm kind of worried that it is blurry and I can't see as well as before. I have to see the eye doctor, in two weeks, once the antibiotic drops are done (which burn when I put them in) so my vision can be checked.
I still haven't told my parents, they are older and will be very upset. I may just not say anything until I see them next weekend. I know, I'm a coward.
