if you have a jailbroken ipad, look into SBSettings.. it has very quick access to things like brightness, wifi/bt/3g toggles, and more.

Well, I did see that I could move bookmarks from my desktop Safari... But couldn't figure out how to move the ones from the iPhone. For me, oddly enough, I use them in completely different ways.
At any rate, what was really driving me me nuts was the lack of "find" functionality within a web page. Unfortunately, since Safari is still the default for everything, I decided the better idea was to find a bookmarklet to provide me with Find. That worked well enough that I've put Safari back into the dock and moved Atomic out of the way. Perhaps later, with a bit more investigation, I'll try it again.
Haven't jailbroken yet, I can't come up with a compelling enough reason to do so far. Though now that my iPhone is long out of warranty, I may play around with JB apps on that!
