I Just had the same experience as you did. (And I also purchased my Kindle 2 in March.) When I plugged it into the wall-socket however, it did recover to the extent that I could use it again. I then looked up trouble-shooting for the Kindle after the fact and found out that they recommend just what I did - that you should plug it in to make it recover. The only problem that is left is that I cannot get the home page to show the most recently used items first. I have to scroll to the last page to get them at the end of the line. I'm watching it carefully and if it doesn't completely return to normal I will then send it in for repair or for a new one. Otherwise, I LOVE my Kindle!
