Mr M was more upset about the noise I was making than the fact that death was but half a minute away. He walked back down the driveway all fluffed up to 3 times his size as a cat does when he has a fright. Within 10 minutes he was fine eating his dinner. I on the other hand was shaking like a leaf.
Mr M is still alive and well this morning, and I am trying not to imprint this as a trauma to give me nightmares.
My nerves are still a little shot. I have to look up how to adjust the sensitivity on the door, but I hope he won't try that again.

My garage door has a detector and will not close if anything is blocking it.....
You should get one.
My cats are forever trying to beat the door and then it reverses and opens back up.....it has been left open overnight several times because of that!
