Yes, I know the place. Have you been up to Tinbeerwah Lookout before? It's not far from there, and gives a nice overview of the area.

Bugger. I lost my father to terminal cancer a few year's ago. There are no miracles, but the seeming arbitrariness of the disease can sometimes be countered by an apparently arbitrary remission (going from some people in Dad's cancer support group who were deemed "terminal"). I hope for your FIL it is such - any measure isn't desperate, but reasonable pragmatism. Goodonya for trying.
