I'd be interesting to know if any of the founding fathers owned rental properties, and if they did, if they had set standards for what the renters could do and not do with the property.
No idea as to the answer of that. But plenty of them had no problem owning people.
Wonder if Jefferson's slaves were encouraged to hang flags of their choice?
