Reading on it is OK, but too hard on the eyes and too heavy compared to my Kindle. A great device overall but my reading on it will be limited to:
1) Where I must read in the dark or dim light.
2) Where I need to carry the iPad for other reasons anyway.
3) Where I need the much better graphics and/or color that the iPad offers
For regular text in daytime at home - Kindle is still king...
