Hare has a gamy taste and is prepared accordingly. Stewed after being marinated in red wine and mountain spices for a while. The name is Civet or Salmė. The only way you realize that is a hare and not a cat is because cats have a different bone section. Sort of triangular.
rabbit is sold in most big markets here. I've eaten it numerous times.
