I too have screwed up my recommendation world since my Kindle. Especially at first when I downloaded books just because they were free. I've been more choosy since then. But still, I'll download a vaguely interesting free book that I would never have purchased, just because I might find it interesting and the chance will pass me by later.
I did accidentally download a romance novel once, (thankfully not a homosexual one) because I didn't see the cover. I can clear it from my recommendations, but I can't purge it from the list of books I now own on the Kindle page.
